Who we are
The PFHA Youth Committee provides Paso Fino youth riders an opportunity to compete in regional, national and international competitions.
Through the efforts of a group of volunteers and dedicted corporate sponsors, young riders compete in sanctioned international competitions in: Aruba, Canada, Colombia, Curacao, Dominican Republic, Germany, Puerto Rico, U.S.A. and Venezuela.
Building Confidence Through Experiences
What better way is there to witness young people overcome barriers, meet challenges, and grow through each experience than to get active with the organization. By volunteering at a national level, or simply pitching in at your local show, you share in building confidence and character in our youth riders and encourage more young riders to get involved with our breed. If you want to volunteer as a chaperone for an international event, you receive the extra benefit of seeing cultural variations in horsemanship and equine development; and get to sample the tastes and flair of host countries.
Generous Donations From Our Sponsors
With the support from our corporate and individual sponsors, and the devotion to the Paso Fino breed from our volunteers, the Paso Fino Youth (U.S.A.) sent 13 riders to 2008 Youth Mundial in Medellin, Colombia; competing with over 200 international participants.
In 2006, Team U.S.A. had over 130 riders participate in Kissimmee, Florida for the Youth Mundial.
Want To Get Involved?
You can help out in two ways: 1) participate in youth activities at regional shows and 2) contribute as a regional, national and international sponsor.
